The Sunflower Galaxy

Also known as Messier 63 ("M63"), the Sunflower Galaxy is a stunning flocculent spiral galaxy - meaning it does not have well-defined spiral arms. M63 was discovered in 1779 by French astronomer Pierre Méchain and is located roughly 27 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Canes Venatici.
